Other World Computing usually has almost any version you could want for sale. You might check them out. They also have *really* low prices on old copies of OS X -- 10.1 for $4.99 and 10.2 for $29.99 (best value, IMO). I'd recommend that if its a G3 of at least 300 MHz and already has at least 128 megs of ram (or your friend is willing to upgrade just a bit).
