Well, it's not too surprising that there's rather high latency involved in
mailing a box versus downloading.

Extra packages, nothing incredibly exciting IMO.

I don't think so.  But it is available via MandrakeClub (as is stuff like
flash), so you can just urpmi it.  If you're a silver member or above, you get
access to the first powerpack isos, which I think have the NVidia driver
integrated.

Neither Blackdown nor IBM's JDKs are particularly far behind.  Do you really
need the very bleeding edge?
