I haven't seen this story anywhere else, yet. COAST, an anti-spyware organization is falling apart. Founding member Lavasoft (AdAware) pulled out first, followed recently by Webroot and Aluria. This leaves only PestPatrol, who are heading for the door, too. Why, because the organization voted to receive as member 180Solutions, a major spyware maker.
