Referers are easy to fake.
Some people will search google for sites that have their stats or
referers available. Some people do not secure theirs very well. THey
then fake a referer to your site using something like cURL or just
create a temporary link, click it, then remove the link.
For some sites they do this to get another link to their site in a
search engine, others are actually advertising to you.
If the referer is for an SEO company they are hoping you will want
their services when you see that they were "checking you out."
Ignore them.
