Apple didn't. :-P No, seriously, actually, save for its implementations of virtual desktops, I don't think there is anything Apple has pilfered in that sense. Mac OS X's UNIXy-ness comes inherent with it actually being certified UNIX with a long UNIX heritage via NeXT.
