Ah, yes, as was mentioned... the hosts file.

The easiest way might be to write a script to build a hosts file from 
DNS queries of your favorite sites.  The normal priorities is to query 
the hosts file first and then DNS.  You can have all your favorite sites 
permanently "cached" in your hosts file.  If one of them changed it's 
IP, you would need to update that one in your hosts file, but it should 
all work.
